Merry Christmas

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. I can't believe that it is just 4 days away. Joseph graduated from the Utah College of Massage Therapy on Dec. 18. It was a nice ceremony. My nephew, Rod and his family were there. We went to Sizzlers for dinner afterwards.
Our ward Christmas dinner was the next night, and Travis helped me a lot with that. Joseph and Sara were able to attend with us.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Happy Holidays

I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know we did. We had Jerry, Kathleen, Amy, Wesley, Samantha, Joseph. Sara, Rachel (Sara's sister), Travis and I here for dinner. We played games, ate, watched a movie and ate some more.
Sara works at Kohl's and had to be there are 3:30 on black Friday, and Joseph is still at Inkley's and had to be there at 6:00, which is a lot more reasonalbe than 3:30.
I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas. I have my house all decorated and some shopping done.

Hi Again

Well, I have been bad about keeping up my blog page. I just tried to change the background with no luck. I have had an uneventful summer, except that my car broke down and I am driving a much older car now. I did have a nice visit from my friends Janet and Denny Maher the first part of June. It had been many years since I had seen them. Allen and family were also here to visit along with Karalee's Mom, Sheila. We got a new bishop a few months ago. Otherwise, life has been the same.
It has been almost 3 years now since Nyals passed away and it sure is lonely without him.
I hope everyone has a great holiday season.

Hello Again

Well, I am sluffing off writing on my blog again, and again, I blame it on Face Book, after all, it couldn't be my fault (:.
Joseph and Sara's car broke down last Thursday, and they just had it towed to a junk yard. Joseph bought a bike, and they will be using bikes and public transportation to get around, and I pick them up to come over here and do laundry and grocery shopping.
Joseph, Sara, and I went down to Orem the first of the month for Kelli Trousdale's wedding reception. She was in our ward in CA, so we were able to see a few friends from there. Had a great time, and Kelli was a beautiful bride.
My Father in-law will be 93 on June 4, and he is still doing pretty well for being on his own.
I've been doing OK. I go to card making classes once a month, which is a lot of fun for me. Have enjoyed planting flowers in my yard. I'm glad I have Travis to mow the lawn and do other yard work.
Hopefully, it won't be too long before I post again.

April & Facebook

I've been so into Facebook that I keep forgetting to change my blog and write new things.
Hopefully, we are now getting and keeping the warm weather. We have had a lot of snow and rain lately. My grass is nice and green.
I'm so glad that Allen and Karalee's niece is doing well and will make a full recovery from her accident.
Joseph and Sara are excited to see her family next weekend. Her sister, Annie, is going thru the Salt Lake Temple for the first time.
I'm finally healed from the fall I took, but now my sciatica is back so I have to deal with that, but it could be worse.
Joseph is now going to massage therapy school and he gives great massages. In June, Sara will be going to dental assistance school at night and will still teach pre-school during the day.
May 2 is National Scrapbook Day and will be taking classes at my favorite scrapbook store. That night, will be going to a wedding reception down in Orem for a family that was in our ward in CA. Their oldest daughter, Kelli, is getting married, so that will be great seeing them again.
I hope everyone has had a good April and had a good Easter.

March

So far, March has been a month full of fun events, except for one. On the 14th, I was going to a friends, missed a step and down I went on the hard concrete. My right leg is really bruised and I skinned my elbow, but I am healing. I was able to attend the dedication of the Draper Temple at out Stake Center, and it was really spiritual. Joseph celebrated his 25th birthday on the 23rd. Our Relief Society birthday was really fun as we had a service auction, and I am going to my old wards RS birthday tomorrow. I'm really enjoying making cards now, and I am going to a card making class again tonight at my favorite scrapbook store. We had temps in the 70's the first of the month and it snowed again on Monday. I'm really tired of winter, too gloomy.

Boring Life

I kind of have a boring life so I never have a lot to post. I am helping our Relief Society with the birthday next week. We have a lot of birthday's in our family in March, so here is a big Happy Birthday to all of them; Kelsey, Karalee, Sheila, Andy, Joseph and Amy. I am looking forward to seeing the dedication of the Draper Temple, via satellite from our stake center on the 22nd.
We had a lot more snow on Monday, and I am so ready for it to all be over. Spring has to be just around the corner because my tulips are peaking up out of the soil. Anyway, Happy Spring to everyone.

Birthday Week

Well, I had a nice birthday week. On Tuesday night, Travis and I went to our previous wards Valentine dinner/dance and had a good time reconnecting with old friends. Yesterday, which was my birthday, Travis, Kathleen, Wesley and I went to the Draper Temple open house. It was so beautiful and the view of the valley from the temple is spectacular. Afterwards we went to lunch and Wingers. Travis treated me to dinner at Olive Garden. Today, we woke up to more snow, enough is enough. I don't have my sweetheart anymore, so Valentine's Day is just another day.

Monday, January 19, 2009

Well, it seems like forever since I posted here on my blog. I can't believe that the holidays are aleady over. We had a quiet Christmas as it was just Joseph, Sara, Travis, my friend Janet and I. We had a nice day opening gifts, eating, playing games, and did I mention eating.
Now, we are getting ready to celebrate Sara's 22nd birthday this coming Thursday.
My birthday is Feb. 13, and the highlight of that day will being to go to the open house for the new Draper Temple. Really looking forward to that.
