We have had a lot of snow lately and this was taken from my front porch yesterday. Thanks goodness I invested in a snow blower last winter so we don't have to shovel.

I also added a picture of Sara and her sister Rachel and the other one is the ladies I work with at a Christmas luncheon. I'm at the end with the glasses on
It has been awhile since I've posted. These were taken on Thanksgiving. The pictures are of Joseph and two of my granddaughters, Amy and Samantha.

Medical News

Well, I finally graduated and I'm out of the boot, after 7 weeks. I did have to promise the doctor that I would wear it, if my foot was bothering me and if the pain gets really bad again, I have to see him again.
Joseph found out this week that he is lactose intolerant, so not more milk, unless it is soy milk and no more ice cream. He loves ice cream so that is going to be a hard one for him to give up. He can eat cheese and yogurt though which are two more things he really likes a lot.

Finally figured it out

OK, here are the pictures from the other day when we got snow. The first one is my house and the second one is taken from my front door looking across the street. I was trying to click on both pictures at once, and Joseph said only one at a time. I'll get the hang of it yet.

No pictures

Travis and I tried to upload some pictures of yesterday's snow, but for some reason it didn't work.

Autumn in Utah

You got to love autumn in Utah except that it doesn't last very long. The picture of the tree with red leaves was taken by the grocery store where I shop about a week and a half ago. I drove by there yesterday and the leaves are completely off of that tree. We are supposed to get snow on Wednesday, so hello to winter.

Doctor's Appointment

I went to see my doctor today and he was really happy how well my tendonitis is doing. However, just to be on the safe side, he wants to keep me in the boot for three more weeks, and that is when I will see him again. So, that is good news. I really thought it was worse as I have not stayed off of it as much as I should. Anyway, have a good weekend.

Happy Day

Thanks so much to my daughter in-law, Karalee, for walking me thru the steps to get a better background on my blog page. Happy Day.
My son, Jerry, celebrated a birthday on Sunday. Travis and I went over with a cake to wish him a good day.
Can't believe that is has almost been 2 weeks since Joseph and Sara have moved into their own place. They are coming over for dinner on Sunday's. Joseph comes over once a week to do laundry and we watch "Heroes" together.
Getting the Trunk Or Treat together has been more work than I thought. We are doing it with two other wards, so hopefully, all will work out well.

My Tendonitis

So, I went to the podiatrist today and he wanted to put me in a cast until he found out that my home is a split level, and there is no way I could do crutches and the stairs. So, he put more padding in my boot and in my tennis shoe with strict instructions to stay off of it as much as possible. I almost laughed, but not quite.
Joseph and Sara are moving to their apartment tomorrow, so I am going to have my computer, scrapbooking and crafts all upstairs in the second bedroom.
My grandson, Travis, is moving his stuff downstairs. The only thing I have to worry about is the laundry as my washer and dryer are downstairs.
I'm going to try and be good and stay off of it as much as possible. Of course, right after my doctor appointment, I went grocery shopping and to Office Max.

New Calling

I got a calling today and it is one that I have never had before and I am intimidated by it. It is the ward activity chairperson. Of course the next big activity is the ward Christmas party. I know I will get a lot of help, but it just scares me a little. I couldn't even stay to get set apart today as I had to work. Anyway, wish me luck.

Moving Day

Well, Joseph and Sara found an apartment and will be moving on Oct. 11. The apartment is downtown. I haven't seen it yet. They are hoping that enough people from our new ward can help them move that day.
It's going to be hard having Joseph leave even though I know that is what he and Sara need to do. The one nice thing about it is the fact that there will be a lot more room with just Travis and I.
I'm still wearing the silly boot for the tendonitis. It is awkward and clumsy, but I do think it is helping.
I'm off to my monthly card making class.

Last Saturday, one of Joseph's best friends from high school, Clint, married his high school sweetheart, Chelsea. By the way, Clint is the one who caught the garter at Joseph and Sara's wedding. Sara and I went to the reception. Joseph had to work. Here are a couple of pictures of Sara with the bride and groom.

My new boot

I went to the doctor today and found out I have tendinitis, so I get to where this fasionable boot for a few weeks.

Things have been kind of quiet around here. Sara really likes her new job and Joseph is busy with school. I've been sick with a cold for almost 3 weeks now. Went to the doctor today, and I have pink eye. Fun Fun.
Still no callings in our new ward. I'm anxious to contribute and hope some calling will come soon. We didn't do much of anything on Labor day as it rained most of the day.
Have a good weekend. Judy

So Far This Year

This has been a busy year and as most of you know, Joseph married Sara Michelle Thompson in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27. All of my children and 10 of the grandchildren were here, so it was a wonderful day. The reception was really nice with lots of good food, good company and dancing.
Sara and Joseph will be living with me until they can get a place of their own which will probably be after the holidays.
Starting Sunday, we will be going to a new ward as our ward boundaries have changed. This was a shock to all of us, but knew it had to happen sometime soon. I will really miss my Primary kids. Just started this blog will add more as time goes on. Just have to figure out how to post pictures. Thanks to Amber Nelson for showing me how to get this started.
